WILL OF FRANCES STARY, TENBURY, 1684

 

In the name of God Amen.
The twelfth day of September one thousand six hundred eighty fower I Frances Stary of Teambury in the County of Worcester widdow being weake in body but of perfect memory (praised be God) doe make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (viz) Imp[rimi]s I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hopeing that through the meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins. And as for my body to be buryed in Christian buriall according to the discretion of my Executor hereafter nominated. Item I give and bequeath unto my sonn Samuell Stary the sume of twenty pounds of good and lawfull English moneyes. Alsoe the bell which is in the parlour, the bedstead with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging Likewise one chest and one chaire which is in the same roome. Item I give unto my sonn Samuel my large brass kettle and one iron pott. Alsoe six pewter dishes (that is to say) two of the largest size two of the middle size and two of the smallest size. Item I give and bequeath unto my sonn Thomas Stary all the rest of my goods, cattles and chattles of what nature or quality soever they are whom I doe ordaine constitute and appoint sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seal the day and yearasfirst above written. The marke of Frances Stary.

Memorandum before the sealing hereof that it is my will that my Executor shall pay the abovesaid sume of twenty pounds to my sonne Samuell within one yeare next after my decease. Read and sealed in the presence of Edward Walker, Richard Tomkyns, Edmund Edward
