WILL OF MARGARET STARY, WESTON BURFORD, 1585

 

In dei n[omin]e Amen the xixth daye of June and in the yere of our Lorde god one thousand five hundred  foure score and five I Margaret Stary of Weston of the p[ar]ishe of Burford and in the dioces of Herf widowe beinge sicke in body but laude and prayse be unto allmightie god of good and perfect remembrance do make this my laste will and testament in manor and forme following.

First I give and bequeth my soulle to allmyghtie God my maker and Redeemer and my body to be buried in the church yarde of Burford. Item I give and bequeth to Richard Stary sonne of Thomas Stary deceast[?] fortie shillinges.  Item I give and bequeth to Elizabeth Stary daughter of Walter Stary xl [40] s [shillings] I give and bequeth to Thomas Stary of the Hemm ____ Item I give and bequeth to George Stary iii [3] ls [pounds] Item I give and bequeth to An[?] Starie daughter of daughter of George Starie on[e] villy [filly?] colte and on[e] newe[?] ___ gowne. Item I give and bequeth to Johane Morris iii [3] ls [pounds] on[e] coffer[?] and on[e] key and all that herein is. I give and bequeth to Edward Stary on[e] pigge.  Item I give and bequeth to Elizabeth Stary the wife of Thomas Stary xiii s iiii d. Item I give and bequeth to Johane Hughes the beste peticotte. I give and bequeth to Francis[?] Comley his children William Maylorde[?] his children and Humphrey Smithes his children xx [20] s to be equally divided betwine them. Item I give and bequeth the lease of ___  Swellinge[?] howse and all the terme of yeres yeat to come and in the same lease unto Humphrey Stary my brother and Henry Stary and to there assignes.  Item all my goodes and chattells moveable and unmoveable unspoken of and unbequested whatsoever ___ and legacies and funerall expenses and my body broughte to christian buriall out of the same I give and bequeth Humphrey[?] Stary and to Henry Stary upon condicion that they or on[e] of them performe and paye all legaces before specified and all ___ lagaces mentioned and written in the laste will and testament of Nicolas Stary my husband decessed the w[hi]ch __ I do ordaine constitute and make mine executors of this my last will and testament
