WILL OF WILLIAM STERRY,
GREAT YARMOUTH, NORFOLK, 1850

 
Testator died 12th June, 1850.  Effects sworn under 800 pounds stirling

The last Will and Testament of me William Sterry of Great Yarmouth in the county of Norfolk Ship Master Whereby I appoint Sarah my Wife Executrix of this my Will All and every my household furniture plate linen china monies and securities for money Goods Chattels personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever that shall remain after payment of my Debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses for her own absolute use and I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said William Sterry have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the twenty seventh day of December in the first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven.

Signed sealed published and delivered by the said William Sterry in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other here subscribe our names as Witnesses hereto M. Eaton Thos Savory.  This Will was proved at Great Yarmouth on the seventh day of August 1850 Before the Revd George Hills Clerk Surrogate duly appointed of the Worshipful Charles Evans M.A. Official principal of the Episcopal Consistorial Court of Norwich lawfully constituted and was approved etc and admon of all and singular the Goods etc of the within named William Sterry the testator deceased was on the sixth day of September following duly granted to Sarah Sterry widow his relict the sole Executrix within named she being duly sworn to suing etc  Testator died in or about the month of April 1850.  Examined with the Original Will by me.
