WILL OF ELIZABETH STERRY,
LONDON, 1751

 

In the Name of God Amen
I Elizabeth Sterry of the parish of Saint Botolph without Aldersgate London widow do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I give to Charles Waters of the parish of Saint Anns London the sum of two guineas to be paid him within twelve months after my decease I give unto my dear and loving sister Jane Lane of Hadon Yard in the Minories near Tower Hill London widow all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate of what nature or kind soever the shall consist of or wheresoever the same shall lye and thereby make ordain constitute and appoint my said sister Jane Lane full and sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Will and Wills by me at any time heretofore made In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this thirty first day of August one thousand seven hundred and ffifty one Eliz Sterry - Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us Mercy Stone, James Phillips.

This Will was proved at London the nineteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ffifty one before the Worshipful Robert Chapman Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Jane Lane widow the sister of the deceased and sole executrix in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the deceased being first sworn duly to administer.
