WILL OF HANNAH STERRY,
SURREY, 1797
This is the last Will and Testament of Hannah Sterry of the parish of Saint Thomas within the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surry spinster made in the time of being in full strength of memory on this fifteenth day of June in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety four I do hereby give and bequeath unto my sister Sarah Sterry of the parish of Saint Thomas aforesaid spinster all my household goods and all my household ffurniture with all my wearing apparel and likewise all my Kings plate Jewels and trinkets of what kind soever and wheresoever which I shall be possessed of at the time of my decease for her own sole and absolute use for ever I appoint this my said sister Sarah Sterry aforesaid residuary legatee and devisee and also sole executrix of this my Will hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament written with my own hand - Hannah Sterry - Signed and sealed by me Hannah Sterry on Sunday fifteenth day of June one thousand seven hundred and ninety four Witnessed by us Ann Holloway, Mary Rysnan
This Willl was proved at London the twenty eighth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven before the Worshipful Charles Coote Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Honourable Sir William Wynne Knight also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Sarah Sterry spinster the sister of the deceased and sole executrix named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to administer.
