WILL OF WILLIAM STERRY,
MARINER, BRISTOL, 1685
I William Sterry of Bristoll in England Marriner now in Boston in New England being sick and weake in body but sound in my understanding doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner following ~ Imprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of God that gave it and my body to the earth decently to be interred And as to what worldly estate I shall leave behind me at the time of my decease I give and bequeath the same unto my beloved wife Charity Sterry (my funerall expenses and other charges in my sicknesse being first paid out of it) And I doe hereby constitute my much respected friend Mr Adam Winthrop to be executor of this my last Will and Testament In witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the one and thirtyeth day of August Anno Dni One thousand six hundred and eighty foure. On the twenty sixth day of October 1685 .... William Sterry citizen of Bristol but resident of Boston New England administration of goods chattels and credits .... was constituted by the oath of Adam Winthrop executor named in the said Will resident of Boston sworn to adminster before the holy angels of God named besides Charity Sterry in the above Will ....
