9 Jun 2013	Added a new family tree: Burford, Shropshire, UK STARIE line. The development of this line has taken many years of painstaking research. The particular contribition of Winsome Compson [Australia] and Mike Cole [Canada] is acknowledged. Also added several photos of members of the Sterry family on the Minsterworth line. Significant information added to Longhope, Southwold, Bury St Edmunds, Ruardean and Lowestoft lines. These trees have now been updated. A very big thanks to David Eric Sterry for his major contribution to this project.
17 Jul 2012	The Birmingham & Midland Society for Genealogy & Heraldry (BMSGH) have compiled the Staffordshire Marriage Index which are complete for all surviving registers in the county up to 1837. Search completed July 2012 for STERRY, STERREY, STERRIE, STIRRY, STIRREY, STEREY, STARRY, STARIE, STAREY, STARY, STURRY and STURREY. New STARRY and STARIE marriages located at Tamworth, Upper Arley and Lichfield St Mary. Added MIs for Worcestershire with one new entry kindly provided by Steve Jackson.

29 Dec 2011	Added the diary of William Sterry [1837-1906] to Biographies and Authorship. William Sterry [1837-1906; Worcestershire, UK line] travelled by ship from England to Canada in 1873 and for a time worked as a platelayer on Canadian railways. The following year he emigrated to Cape Town in South Africa and initally lived rough in a tent in the bush working on the new rail line from Wellington to Worcester on the Western Cape. Within twelve months he had worked his way to a permanent position as Way Inspector and brought his family out from England to stay indefinitely. His descendants still live in Cape Town. He kept a personal diary from 1873 until he retired in 1899 that provides a unique insight into his remarkable life. Many thanks to his g.g.grandson for providing a copy of William's diary and making it available here.

3 Nov 2011	Added STERRY/STARIE and variant marriages to Shropshire Parish Registers from the Shropshire FHS Marriage Index on CD (2008). New marriages entries were found for Caynham, Dowles, Hope Bagot and Neen Sollars. Also noted parishes in Shropshire that are covered by the Shropshire Marriage Index but where no Sterry/Starie events were found. Added a new section to Records UK-BDM-Monumental Inscriptions: Shropshire MIs. STARIE records located using the Shropshire FHS Online Database for Monumental Inscriptions have been added. 2 Nov 2011	Added a new family tree: the Tennessee, USA Sterry line. Many thanks to Anne Sterry Henges, Carolyn Magruder and Tracy Robb for sharing many years of diligent research. You are invited to send in any of your own additions and corrections, especially any information that might shed further on the origins of William Williston Sterry. DNA evidence has established that the Tennessee, USA line is connected to the much older Stonington, Connecticut, USA line.

6 Aug 2011	Peter Sterry has been researching at the Ipswich Record Office in Suffolk, UK and has checked a large number of mainly original Suffolk parish records still not searched for any STERRY entries, mainly baptisms 1813-1837. No new STERRY entries were found. A huge thanks to Peter.
27 Jul 2011	Received letter sent to Eva (Farrington) Chenery from Ellen Prince [kindly supplied by Carol (Chenery) Laverdiere]. Ellen Prince's mother was Adaline Angela Sterry [1861-1932] and the daughter of David Sterry [1816-1884] on the Starks, Maine, USA line. This indicated an error in the Town Clerk records relating to this David Sterry and the tree has now been updated with this and other new information.
