Walter Smith in his book The Sterry Family says that Richard above married Mary Dudley abt 1676 (bp 18 Apr 1659, dau. of Edward Dudley) and married a second time to Mary Steward. Edward Dudley's mother was the illegitimate daughter of Edward Lord Dudley. Richard Sterry's grandfather also married an Alice and they resided at 'The Swan Inn'.
